One for Carol

Carol and Jenny.

Doing one of the things they do best.

I can't write it here; I was going to try.

See you tonight.

Thanks for everything

Who's that super looking bird on the right there?!

Seriously, JJ, I so feel for you honey. It's tough not to see good friends whenever we want to. I have a virtual one that I would really love to live nearer to so that I could see her whenever I wanted to. It leaves a gap, doesn't it?

And I see you hit the 30k mark, well done! x

Look at you two gorgeous things!

Enjoy this evening, though I know it's going to be a sad one for you both:-(

One of my best friends moved from London, England to Sydney, Australia about ten years ago. She's still one of my best friends. I know the parting is horribly painful, and I know it's not the same as having someone around in the hard self, but don't be too downhearted. Real friendship trumps geography, particularly in these days of Skype, email, etc.

Gulp!

That's a beautiful picture. It's so hard when people go away.

Hugs to you both, and remember that it takes more than a few miles to damage a good friendship. And when you're back too, we'll all be able to chill out together.
Thinking of you.

Ah that's such a lovely picture - hold onto that one, and carry it with you in your head and your heart.

Thanks to everyone for their kind replies.

I held up well yesterday but feel very sad and teary today.

It's not that I doubt the strength of our friendship at all - I know I will keep in touch with Carol. The problem is that she was a 'here' friend and now it's simply another 'not-here' relationship.
